Have you secured an internship with a progressive organization this summer but need funds to facilitate your experience? Does the organization contribute to progressive causes, especially the goals of campaign finance reform or more equal political representation? Or, are you still looking for an internship in DC to reform Washington and get big money out of politics? Apply to the first annual Progressive Summer Stipend Program, facilitated by board members of the Harvard College Democrats and the Harvard Rootstrikers!
The number of stipends awarded will depend on the volume and quality of applications. Compensation will be awarded to the successful applicants on a sliding scale dependent on expressed financial need, anticipated living expenses, and specific summer plans.
Successful applicants will need to commit to occasional reporting of summer experiences and a reflection at the end of the summer.
The application closes on May 21 at 11:59pm and successful applicants will be notified by May 26 at 11:59pm with a total award amount. Applicants will have until May 28 at 11:59pm to accept or reject the funding. This stipend program is only open to Harvard College undergraduates who plan to return to campus in the fall of 2014. Freshmen and sophomores are strongly encouraged to apply!
If you choose to apply for this stipend, please email your current resume to Daniel Ki at firstname.lastname@example.org, with “Progressive Summer Fellowship” as the subject line.
