Do you support a candidate? Do you now? Do you support that candidate enough to get on your hands and knees to CLEAN TOILETS??!? Because that's what we're asking you to do. The Dems CLEANING UP POLITICS DAY will entail working as many or few hours as you choose, for Dorm Crew -- proceeds going to support the Dems' campaign effort for the candidate of your choice. It's more fun than you'd think; ask Garrett! You do need to sign up. Bear in mind that serious bonding and fabulous prizes will be involved...

Location: Somewhere On Campus, Probably Hey! Our executive board meetings are open to anyone who wants to come. We usually don't know where they are until roughly the day before or the day of (this is the product of a longstanding Quad-Mather feud, which MATHER WILL WIN EVENTUALLY), so if for whatever reason you want to check it out email me and I'll give you all the requisite info. Minutes are also a matter of record; I can give you copies of minutes for any board or general meeting going back to November, or possibly earlier if they're filed someplace. (Warning: all minutes from after November are taken by me, which means they're probably very profane and contain no useful information.) Seriously, though, come to the board meeting. Your input would be valued, since groupthink tends to mess up our decision-making process. Also we're bored and we want company. (Get it? "Bored"? Ha ha! I slay myself.)

Location: Emerson 105 -----THE LAST GENERAL MEETING OF THE YEAR! (Insert wailing, rending of garments, gnashing of teeth, etc.) ...Every Monday we meet. Discussions are had. Updates are given. Sometimes, song is broken into. (That's not even a joke, it happens scarily often.) You have to see it to believe it -- the GENERAL MEETING is where all our action goes down. And we're always looking for new friends, so anyone is totally welcome to come by. Don't forget to stick around afterwards for committees, 8:30 to 9:30. You can also feel free to drop in late on any committee. The schedule: 8:30: Events, Communications, Political 9:00: Campaigns, Membership (Locations vary based on the whim of committee chairs, but you can usually find them by following the shrieks of joy.)

"Students for" representatives go head to head in a rhetorical grudge-match to rival the insanity of the actual televised debate. (Students for Gravel will be represented. Nuff said.)

This Friday at 1:00pm, meet at Mass Hall to support Harvard's security guards and your fellow students who are on an indefinite hunger strike until the University agrees to equal pay and fair conditions.

The solidarity demonstration begins at 1:00, and we will hand-deliver a letter from the Dems to President Bok asking him to take action. The Dems' support is vital to the Stand for Security campaign, and it will make a huge difference if we have a lot of people there.

The Dems have also planned a Solidarity Fast to show our support for guards and hunger-striking students: The Dems fast will last 24 hours (midnight Thursday-midnight Friday). To pledge to participate in the solidarity fast, go to http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/slam/petition8

For more information about the Stand for Security campaign, go to www.stand4security.org.
