Note that due to Columbus Day (a celebration of dubious political correctness, I might add), our meeting has been shifted to Tuesday night in HARVARD HALL 102/103. That's in the Yard if you don't know it. Committees will meet as usual, though LegCom will be having its hourlong discussion meeting right after the 1st committee rotation at 9 PM. So see you Tuesday night for THRILLS, MERRIMENT, and DEMOCRAT-NESS! (...Democratism? Democratitude? I'm struggling here...)

"One if by land, two if by sea, three if by the Dean's office."

So the Dean's office cut off the party grant, but the Harvard Dems are still where the party's at. Join us as we walk Boston's historic Freedom Trail on Friday -- bring your water bottle and your walking shoes as we view some of Boston's great American historic sites. Paul Revere's house, Fanuel Hall, Quincy Market: it's all part of celebrating what was once written, and what we apparently need again:

"— That whenever any Form of Dean becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it."
Okay, so it really said "Government" and not "Dean." You get the picture. Come walk that ass!

Click here to RSVP. Meet in Thayer Common Room, 4:45 PM.

Come to the general meeting, 8 PM in EMERSON 305, and maybe you'll be as cool as this guy! Isn't this guy cool?
Committees as normal -- plus LegCom meets Tuesday nights 8 PM in Loker, and FiCom meets Thursday at 7 (this week only) in Grays 1. See everyone at the meeting!

Where: Mather Small Dining Room (come to the Mather dining hall, then it's your first left into the door by the drink machines -- or just call me if you get lost, 617-233-1341).
Are you looking for a no-BS progressive candidate for President? One with a real plan for universal health care, an end to poverty, college for everyone (not just the well-off), and a return to people-power in Washington? Or are you already familiar with JOHN EDWARDS? Either way, come to the year's first meeting of Students for Edwards. We're getting off to a late start, but it's not going to stop us from barnstorming New Hampshire this Saturday, as well as working to educate Harvard's campus about the real issues in this race -- since, of course, John Edwards has clearly been the policy leader in the Democratic field. Plus, we can do anything else you want; we're open-ended. We'll meet this Tuesday at 8 PM in the Mather Small Dining Room. If you can't make that but you want to learn more, shoot me an email (mkolic@fas) or come find me at the Dems meeting tomorrow night. (I'm the guy with the big Edwards sticker on my computer.)
