Deep thought

If this were a just world, every self-righteous libertarian who started talking about how they're "tired of the traditional left-right divide" would be immediately punched in the face.* That goes for Al Giordano too.

Threats of violence from a Harvard student? Oh, I'm sooo intimidated.

How about a rational argument, instead?

LOL. I just get infuriated when one of the few readable commentators out there lapses into libertarian myth -- not only are libertarians just NOT a relevant voting bloc in this country, but I'd argue that the basic differences between left and right are so fundamental that saying we should "get past them" demonstrates a shallow understanding of the issues and is damaging to the progressive project. That, in turn, makes me become The Hulk.

(Didn't mean to come off as confrontational, by the way. I love The Field, read it daily -- and what RuralVotes did to it is criminal, imo. I have this terrible habit here of calling out A-list bloggers for the one and only time I ever disagree with them, then getting embarrassed when they actually show up.)

Anyway if you want rational argument from me you have to catch me on a good day.
